June 9th, 2016. The day of the first ever PMLA game. The South Fayette Seagullz against the Oakdale Acorns. Hype and doubt circled the air as the game approached. As the whistle blew, the PMLA finally became a reality. Midfielder Dom Lazzini scored the first-ever Acorn goal early in the game, but they were down 5-4 at the end of the first. However, the 'Corns never looked back and were able to hold a lead the rest of the game, thanks to an additional 4 goals from Dom Lazzini and 3 from Defensive Midi Gavin Aubrey. Offensive Midi Ty Peluso notched 2 goals, and Anthony Galioto and Cort Blatz each added 1 goal to end the game 12-9 in favor of the Acorns. Goaltender Amelia Lazzini had 6 saves on the day, including some clutch ones to cement a win.
