The 2nd Match for the Acorns was between the feared Highland Creek Humpback Whales, a team built with power and strength. Playing at Hickman Field, the game was only able to field 2 players per team, and not the usual 3. In goal for the Whales was Goalie, who was a stick and a helmet. The game started off with a rout, as Oakdale went up 4-0 easily. The second period was a little more lethargic, as they played mostly on defense, but still held a 6-4 lead going into the half. In the third, Defense-man Gavin Aubrey almost got into a fight with Whales Midfielder Colin Dunn. Amelia held strong during a Highland Creek Barrage, as the end of the third was 9-6 Oakdale. In the forth, the Oakdale Acorns were able to get an offense attack going, and Aubrey even whipped the ball at Colin Dunn at payback for a slash in the face earlier in the game. In the end, the Whales were never able to come back from the Acorns lead. Final Score: OAK 11 HCHW 8.
